Island States, such as St Lucia, are usually highly dependent on liquid fuel imports and especially vulnerable to the effects of climate change. Therefore, careful, and highly contextualized analysis must be carried out to overcome these issues in the most adequate way.
The updated NEP will guide the achievement of targets such as the integration of sustainable Renewable Energy, promote and increase Energy efficiency and Energy Conservation to support a green recovery and bolster economic growth. The covered period is 2022-2032.
