The World Bank has hired Mercados-Aries International to develop a White Paper on Saudi Arabia’s power system resilience with the aim to strengthen its sector policies and regulations.
This activity aims at informing the sector policy development associated with power system stability and resilience by conducting detailed analytical work to devise needed actions to increase the robustness of the T&D network, improve responsiveness and flexibility under different weather conditions, better optimization of T&D networks, and efficiently utilize T&D networks to their limits without compromising system stability even with a high share of renewables.
Enhancing power system resilience is a key priority area for The World Bank and we are proud to be able to contribute to such a relevant topic in a country we are so familiar with.
