Ivan Del Portillo, Director of Water & ESG, together with Luis Cases, Director of Networks at Mercados-Aries International had the pleasure to meet at the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy of The Gambia, with the Minister of Energy, the Director for Energy and the Managing Director of National Water and Electricity Company NAWEC to discuss our existing projects in the country
The Gambia is one of the most densely populated countries in Africa, and one of the countries with the greatest need for infrastructure development as well as a booming tourism sector that is aiding in increasing its water and energy demand. Mercados-Aries International has been working in the country continuously for the last two years helping the country to adequate its energy system to the country’s objective of providing stable and reliable access to energy to all Gambians by 2030.
