Between May 14 and May 21, Madrid hosted the Capacity Building session for the Program III Round II of the Rural Electrification Project. This project, co-financed by the Government of Tanzania and the WorldBank, is spearheaded by the Rural Energy Agency (REA) of Tanzania.
Since November 2019, as MAI Group we have been proudly serving as the Project Manager Consultant, organizing and facilitating this crucial Capacity Building event as part of the Project activities.
We were honored to welcome the following esteemed REA staff:
🔸Hassan Seif Saidy Al Hinai – Director General of REA
🔸Jones Olotu – Electrification Director
🔸Advera Felician Mwijage – Applied Technologies Director
🔸Daniel Erasto Mungure – Finance Director
🔸Mussa Muze Yunia – Legal Director
🔸Deogratius Joseph Nagu – Contract Manager
The sessions, conducted by Jose Ignacio Alcon and Carlos Julio Marrugo Escobar, focused on insights, lessons learned, challenges, opportunities, and key takeaways for future programs and rounds.
These representatives also visited the MAI Group office in Madrid, further strengthening the excellent relationship between our organizations. Additionally, several extracurricular activities allowed REA and our representatives to share meaningful moments, fostering stronger collaboration.
We are excited about the future of the Rural Electrification Project and look forward to the positive impact it will have on communities in Tanzania.
