On July 1st, Mercados-Aries International together with TATA Power and TAJHYDRO signed a five-year management contract for the Direction and Management of the Power Distribution Company of the country, Shabaqahoi Taqsimoti Barq (STB).
The main objective is to build a transparent and sustainable power utility through effective financial and operational performance, provide the day-to-day management of the utility in accordance with international best practices, and provide support for the achievement of the immediate, mid, and long-term objectives defined by the utility.
This assistance, financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), is called to be a reference project for the implementation of the best practices in the management of the power utilities in the region.
