Mercados – Aries International have a wide experience in the energy sector in Latin American region with several projects implemented in the last years comprising energy markets regulation, regional interconnections and renewables development. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that we have just started to work on the Study of Energy Integration called “Vision of Development by 2040” for CAF (Confederación Andina de Fomento).
The company will be identifying and evaluating in detail each of the components of the defined portfolio of electrical interconnection projects in the following Latin American countries: Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. The study will be carried out based on their diagnosis and characterization, which will allow their successful development in the next 20 years. Interconnection projects will allow to optimize the use of existing resources, and, with additional agreements, the development of projects that are only feasible on a regional scale.
