Within the framework of the project finance by the ADB for “Preparing Energy Storage and Green Hydrogen Sector Development Program” in Georgia, we have recently had the visit of a Georgian Delegation on a study tour which aims was to facilitate knowledge exchange between representatives from the Georgian energy sector and stakeholders in Spain.
As part of the study tour, delegates from ADB, JSC “Georgian Energy Exchange (GENEX), JSC “Georgian Energy Development Fund (GEDF), Georgian National Energy And Water Supply
Regulatory Commission (GNERC), Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE), Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia (MoESD), and Ministry of Finance of Georgia (MoF), had the opportunity to meet and discuss with Spanish government representatives working on the development of policies and regulations and the promotion of batteries and clean hydrogen projects in the context of the European Union. Furthermore, the study tour allowed Georgian delegates to get insights into the practical implementation of projects on battery storage and renewable hydrogen, as they also met with private sector associations.
