The future of floating PV

Floating photovoltaics is the third pillar of solar energy, after ground and rooftop. Various studies point to its enormous potential within the renewable mix. According to the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS), a benchmark institution in the sector, cumulative global installed capacity exceeded 2 GW in September 2020 (in 2018 it was 1.1 GW).
